29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as specified in paragraphs 1926.451(b)(1)(i)-(ii) a- 1820 Route 70 West, Cherry Hill NJ: A company employee, not supplied with fall protection, was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below when performing sign cover installation and other related activities from the upper buck of a rolling, prefabricated, tubular welded framed scaffold whose active walking/working surface was not fully planked. Condition observed on or about 07/13/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. a- 1820 Route 70 West, Cherry Hill NJ: Two employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 11 feet to the ground surface below when performing sign cover installation and other related activities from different levels of a rolling, prefabricated, tubular welded framed scaffold that was without end stops, top & midrails, and whose upper active walking/working surface was not fully planked. Conditions observed on or about 07/13/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
