OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall and struck-by hazards: a) BDJ Building Services on or about June 30, 2016, at the address of 2507 Township Rd. 55 Bellefontaine, OH: The employer did not ensure sufficient and correctly installed temporary bracing was applied to the 74 ft. wood trusses erected onsite, exposing employees to fall and struck-by hazards. One feasible means of abatement to is to install temporary bracing as outlined in the 2013 Building Component Safety Information (BCSI): Guide to Good Practice for Handling, Installing, Restraining & Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses produced jointly by the Wood Truss Council and the Truss Plate Institute, Section B1 and B2-Truss Installation and Temporary Restraint/Bracing.

During this activity, employees were exposed to falls up to 14 ft. to the ground below.
