29 CFR 1910.269(q)(1)(i): Before allowing employees to subject elevated structures, such as poles or towers, to such stresses as climbing or the installation or removal of equipment may impose, the employer did not ascertain that the structures were capable of sustaining the additional or unbalanced stresses: a) On the job site, the employer failed to ascertain that the wood pole was capable of sustaining the weight of the employee and his tools.
