29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations:    (a) 300 to 312 East Cherry Street Palmyra, PA - An engineering survey was not available in writing by a competent person prior to employees(s) commencing demolition operations of 3 residential homes that were condemned over a sinkhole, thereby exposing employee(s) to a possible unplanned structural collapse, on or about July 26, 2016.     No abatement certification or documentation required.    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------    The citation is amended to:    29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person had been performed prior to permitting employee(s) to start demolition operations:    (a)	300 to 312 East Cherry Street Palmyra, PA - An engineering survey was not available in writing by a competent person prior to employees(s) commencing demolition operations of 3 residential homes that were condemned over a sinkhole, on or about July 26, 2016.  A written survey by a competent person was provided by the company on the same day.
