29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 6213-6217 Thompson Road Syracuse, NY, on or about 7/21/2016: The employer failed to provide fall protection to workers who were installing metal paneling close to the roofs edge at a height of 14-feet. Ruffstructures was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 908769, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/6/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 3079 Tower Hill Road South Kingstown, RI 02879.
