29 CFR 1910.23(e)(1): A standard railing did not consist of a top rail, intermediate rail, and post, and did not have a vertical height of 42 inches nominal from upper surface of top rail to floor. The intermediate rail was not half way between the top rail and the floor, platform, runway, or ramp. a) PM Bay Area, on or about 7/26/2016: Employees have to access the storage area next to the PM Bay to retrieve hoses, acetylene tanks, etc. are exposed to a fall hazard due to the standard railing provided did not meet the required height for the top rail and was not provided with a midrail. Employees are exposed to a fall hazard.
