29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) 5850 23rd St., Building 220, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060: The employer did not assess the workplace, to include the areas of construction activity where employees used the restrooms and performed work-related tasks, and where required PPE such as (but not limited to) hard hats, safety glasses, and reflective vests was identified by the on-site general contractor, exposing employees to struck-by and other hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
