29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: On or about July 29, 2016, in the unit coil area, steel coils stored in tiers were not stacked, blocked, or interlocked so that the steel coils were stable and secure against sliding and collapse, exposing employees to struck by and caught between hazards. A.) The steel coils were stored on wooden saddles that were deteriorated from being exposed to moisture in the area and damage from placement of steel coils. B.) The end steel coils were not chained to prevent them from lateral movement when stored next to an open area.
