29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Excavation site: On or about August 3, 2016 and at times prior thereto, one employee was observed working on the top portion of the trench box without fall protection. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard greater than 6-feet to the ground below.
