29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): A continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (n) was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA: In the manufacturing facility, the employer did not establish a hearing conservation program to employees whose noise exposure equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels. Noise sampling was performed for 490 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2016, where an employee was exposed to continuous noise level at 69.1% of the permissible daily noise exposure. The equivalent dBA level of 69.1% is approximately 87.3 dBA.
