29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about August 4, 2016, an employee was exposed to a 22.3 foot fall hazard while signaling a crane from the roof of a commercial building. The employee did not utilize fall protection while walking/working on a roof. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
