29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: Workroom Floor: On or about 08/10/2016, the employer did not ensure that double duplex conduit outlet boxes were not properly mounted onto fixed surfaces such as walls or columns, but rather improperly used as pendent drops in the following instances: a. Case #RR46, RR41 and RR43 had a double duplex (4 spot) outlet box being used as a drop to power case overhead lamps. b. The Pass Machine located in center or workroom floor was being powered from double duplex (4 spot) outlet box being used as a drop. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1147935, citation number 02, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/21/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 125 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
