29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  Kitchen:  On, or about, August 10, 2016, an eyewash unit was not provided where employees used Eco Cutter Plus, a corrosive liquid, to clean the oven.    The nearest eyewash unit was located in an employee breakroom that required keypad access to gain entry.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating  at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i):  Main Electrical Room:  On, or about, August 10, 2016, employees were required to open the Securitron control panel to turn the door alarm system on and off.  Exposed live terminals were located in the control box.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(2)(iii): During use, containers for contaminated sharps were not replaced routinely or were allowed to be overfilled:  Country Lane Utility Room:  On, or about, August 10, 2016, the sharps container mounted on the wall was overfilled.  Razors were observed in the container above the manufacturers fill line and a razor was stuck in the inlet flap, preventing proper operation.  Arden Courts of Avon was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 314407206, Citation Number 1, Item Number 5 and was affirmed as a Final Order on October 9, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Avon, Connecticut.

Arden Courts of Avon was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 314407206, Citation Number 2, Item Number 3 and was affirmed as a Final Order on October 9, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Avon, Connecticut.  Arden Courts of Tampa was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent occupational safety and health standard [1910.303(g)(1)], which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 316538131, Citation Number 1, Item Number 4 and was affirmed as a Final Order on June 28, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Tampa, Florida.
