29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems or a combination of warning line system and safety monitoring system. On or about August 9, 2016 at the above address employees were performing roofing work on a commercial building and were not utilizing fall protection. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 9.5 feet to the ground. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d). Charles Copley Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1066366, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 5, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 75 E. Woodstock Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
