29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about August 15, 2016, employees were exposed to respiratory irritation, skin irritation, and the hazards associated with metal powders while working with materials, such as copper, chromium, iron, molybdenum, and manganese. The employer did not provide information and training on the associated hazards in their work area at the time of their initial assignment. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: On or about August 15, 2016, employees were exposed to respiratory stressors while voluntarily wearing an N95 3M filtering facepiece, model 8210, when working with metal powders. The employer did not provide a Appendix D to the employees, as required by the standard. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
