29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(2)(i): Before work subject to this standard began, the building and/or facility owner(s) did not determine the presence, location and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) and/or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) at the worksite pursuant to 29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(1). a) On or about 8/11/2016, sub-contractor employees were working on the remodel project at 5202 Desert Storm on Fort Campbell, KY, and the General Contractor did not determine the presence, location and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) and/or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) at the worksite and provide this information to sub-contractors. Exposure to asbestos could lead to various lung diseases and cancer. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
