29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(ii): Temporary wiring was not removed immediately upon completion of the project or purpose for which the wiring was installed:   A.  On or about August 19, 2016, Pre-Sort Area:  A red flexible extension cord used to energize a white floor fan had been in place for at least five months, and was not removed when the fan was not in use.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:   A.  On or about August 19, 2016, Pre-Sort Area:    1.  A red flexible extension cord was used in lieu of the fixed wiring of the building to power a small white floor fan on the far side of the conveyor.  2.  A 6-receptacle relocatable power tap was used in lieu of the fixed wiring of the building to power a Dayton 30-inch metal-encased pedestal fan.

On or about August 19, 2016, Pre-Sort Area:  A red flexible extension cord was energized through a four-outlet receptacle and was affixed to the building structure over the sorting conveyor to power a floor fan on the far side of the conveyor.
