29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: a) Throughout the facility, on or about 8/17/16: Employee training for reducing mercury exposure did not include the implementation of work practices including, but not limited: 1) regularly cleaning appliances used for food preparation such as the toaster oven, and 2) maintaining porosimeter surfaces in the mercury lab free of mercury through regular housekeeping. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
