29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: The employer did not ensure that employee exposure to hexavalent chromium did not exceed 5 micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m3), as an 8 hour time weighted average (TWA). This violation occurred on or about September 28, 2016 in the welding/fabrication shop when stainless steel welding exposed an employee to hexavalent chromium at an 8 hour TWA of 13.6 ug/m3, approximately 2.7 time the PEL of 5.0 ug/m3. Sampling was performed for 385 minutes and zero exposure was assumed for the 95 minutes not sampled.
