There was no ladder inside the trench.

The employer had not complied with the provisions of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i) in that: (a) Construction Site - On or about August 18, 2016 two employees were working inside a trench 5 feet deep were not protected from soil cave-in by using sloping or protective systems.
