29 CFR 1910.36(b)(1): At least two exits routes were not available to permit prompt evacuation of employees during an emergency: In the main store, only the front exit was available for emergency escape. (Note: The east door was not available for escape because of bales of straw and merchandise stacked in front. A sign was posted on the steps to the lower level, "Not An Exit.") Abatement documentation is required for this violation.

29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6): The employer did not certify that each operator has been trained and evaluated as required by this paragraph (l): Employees, who operated the Nissan forklift, had not been certified in writing. (Note: Forklift training includes a "classroom" component (such as by a video, class setting, or similar), demonstration of the specific powered industrial truck operated (which includes powered pallet jacks), and an evaluation, which can be accomplished by observing an operator over a period of time before certifying that the employee is competent to operate. Re-evaluation is required at least every three years.) Abatement documentation is required for this violation.
