JOBSITE: The employees, performing shoveling soil to make square corners in a trench which was measured between 5 feet 4-3/4 inches and 6 feet 1 inch deep and 29 feet 8 inches were not protected from the hazards of cave-ins by the use of appropriate protective systems and/or devices.
