29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, moving parts, flying chips and sparks:      A.)  Belco Tool and Manufacturing, Inc. - On or about, 8/24/16, and at times prior thereto, a MSC metal cutting band saw was not properly guarded.  The unused portion of the saw blade and band saw guide wheel nip points were exposed and were not guarded. In addition, the saw was not equipped with a guard to adjust to the width and thickness of the stock being cut.   Employees used the saw on a weekly basis for activities that included, but were not limited to, cutting the ends off electrodes.    B.)  Belco Tool and Manufacturing, Inc. - On or about, 8/24/16, and at times prior thereto, a vertical band saw was not properly guarded.  The unused portion of the saw blade and band saw guide wheel nip points were exposed and were not guarded.
