29 CFR 1926.855(g): Demolition of floor arches were started before they, and the surrounding floor area for a distance of 20 feet have been cleared of debris and any other unnecessary materials. On or about August 10, 2016, employees of another subcontractor were allowed to work in the area where demolition of floor arches by Ark Welding were started prior to the surrounding floor area (walking working surface) being cleared of debris and tools. Employees of subcontractor were exposed to the hazard of falls.
