29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:   a)    Weld/Test Lab: On or about 08/17/2016, the employer had two orange extension cords used in lieu of permanent wiring plugged into duplex receptacles that supplied power to fans mounted in the ceiling.   b)    Warehouse office: On or about 08/17/2016, the employer had an orange extension cord used in lieu of permanent wiring plugged into a duplex receptacle that supplied power to an air condition unit recessed into a wall.      Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level:  a)    USS Wasp LHD1, Compartment 1-123-6-Q: On or about 06/6/2016, an employee used a needle gun to removed paint from the internal surfaces of a vessel that was known to have a lead content up to 0.050 percent.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1915.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI):  a)     USS Wasp LHD1, Compartment 1-123-6-Q: On or about 06/6/2016, an employee used a needle gun to removed paint from the internal surfaces of a vessel that was known to have a chromium content up to 0.02 percent.  Note: The employer is to make this determination in accordance with either paragraph (d)(2), the scheduled monitoring option, or paragraph (d)(3), the performance-oriented option.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
