29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a) Building 4, Freezer 4, Z Y: The exit door was block by pallets of product. Directly in front of the exit door was also a piece of metal that was 6 inches high (pallet barrier) which would create a trip hazard in the event of an emergency, observed on or about 8/30/2016. b) Building 4, Freezer 4, X W: The exit door was block by pallets of product. Directly in front of the exit door was also a piece of metal that was 6 inches high (pallet barrier) which would create a trip hazard in the event of an emergency, observed on or about 8/30/2016. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
