29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. On 8/30/2016, employees from Elda Restoration Inc. were installing shingles on a roof of a residence located at 2094 Roselake Circle, Cottleville, MO. They were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. The foreman and four employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing them to a fall to the ground below. Elda Restoration Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1120844, citation number 1, item number 3/a and was affirmed as a final order on 2/18/2016, with respect to a workplace located at1 Strecker Road, Building A, Ellisville, MO, 63011.
