29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form:  Mastclimbers, LLC, Lithonia, GA - Employees are required to spray paint products with an acrylic enamel hardener which contains hazardous chemicals, such as, but is not limited to Hexamethylene Diisocyanate and Hexamethlene Diisocyanate Polymer.   The employer had not identified and evaluated the respiratory hazard(s) to which the workers are exposed, on or about 09/02/16.  The employer had not conducted monitoring.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:   Mastclimbers, LLC - Lithonia, GA - In the production area, employees handle hazardous chemicals such as, but are not limited to paints (containing mineral spirits, propane, toluene, butane, methyl ethyl ketone, hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc.), paint stripper (containing methylene chloride), welding fumes, welding wires, purple power degreaser, hydraulic oil, paint thinner, acetone, etc.. The employer had not developed a written hazard communication program, on or about 09/02/16.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use  Mastclimbers, LLC - Lithonia, GA - In the production area, employees handle hazardous chemicals such as, but are not limited to paints (containing mineral spirits, propane, toluene, butane, methyl ethyl ketone, hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc.), paint stripper (containing methylene chloride), welding fumes, welding wires, purple power degreaser, hydraulic oil, paint thinner, acetone, etc. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) were not obtained for each chemical used at the site.  The employer had not updated the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), on or about 09/02/16.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

The employer had not monitored for methylene chloride while working with the methylene chloride, on or about 09/02/16.
