29 CFR 1926.403(i)(2)(i): Live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by cabinets or other forms of enclosures, nor by any of the means listed in subparagraphs (A) through (D) of this paragraph.   a) There were uncovered circuit breaker panels at the ground floor and basement with live electric parts and wiring exposed; employees were exposed to electric shock hazard.    Location: 155 W 23 Street, New York, N.Y. 10011    On or about 08/29/16   NOTE:  BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means.    a) Employee was exposed to 110V electric shock hazard when working on live electric wiring in ground floor breaker panel without shutting off the circuits.
