29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards such as those created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     a)  Front Range Steel, Inc. at 3620 E. County Road 62, Wellington, CO: On and prior to September 6, 2016, the employer did not ensure appropriate machine guarding was in place to prevent employee(s) from entering the danger zone, measuring approximately 28 inches between the Peddinghaus PDC 1100/3C High Speed Drill machine and material conveyor system in the Building 1 drill shack.     b)  On and prior to September 6, 2016, employee(s) were exposed to unguarded vertical "drive rollers" on the infeed side of the Peddinghaus PDC 1100/3C High Speed Drill Machine. Condition exposed employees to an amputation hazard.     c)  On and prior to September 6, 2016, employee(s) were exposed to an unguarded orange colored horizontal measuring disk on the in-feed side of the Peddinghaus PDC 1100/3C High Speed Drill Machine. Condition exposed employees to an amputation hazard.     d)  On and prior to September 6, 2016, employees inside the Building 1 drill shack were exposed to unguarded conveyor rollers. Condition exposed employees to pinch point hazards between conveyed structural steel materials and conveyor rollers.
