29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly: a) On or about 09/09/16 in the Grinding area; employees were exposed to a fire hazard when the exhaust duct for the 24 inch disc grinder was inoperable resulting in a layer of aluminum dust on the frame of the grinder and along the floor between the grinder and the east wall. b) On or about 09/09/16 in the Grinding area; employees were exposed to fall hazards when the floor around the vertical band saw was covered with a layer of aluminum shavings, a pile of aluminum shavings near the saw, at least three stacks of plastic buckets, and three piles of parts stacked on the floor. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQURIED

29 CFR 1910.24(f): All treads were not reasonably slip-resistant and the nosings were not of nonslip finish: a) On or about 09/09/16 in the east side of the Grinding area; employees were exposed to a fall hazard when the nosing at the top of the fixed stair and for each riser was worn. b) On or about 09/09/16 in the east side of the Grinding area; employees were exposed to a fall hazard when the tread for each riser on the fixed stairs was oily and covered with metal particles.
