29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: (a) Body shop area- Employees exposed to dust while sanding Bondo or blowing dust from automobiles were wearing filtering face piece type respirators (disposable dust masks) and were not given the information regarding the use and limitations of dust masks contained in Appendix D of the respirator standard. The dust masks were used on a voluntary basis.
