OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: On or about September 13, 2016, an employee was working from a portable fiberglass single ladder that had rung widths less than 12 inches, damaged rung(s), and was positioned with no means of slip resistance thus exposing the employee to falls to the ground below. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard include the following: comply with the American National Standard for Ladders - Portable Reinforced Plastic - Safety Requirements (ANSI-ASC A14.5-2007).
