29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. On or about September 8, 2016 and at times prior thereto, an employee who was standing on an elevated work platform was engaged in framing a single story home without eye protection while using a hammer and a pneumatic nail gun. This condition exposed the employee to hazards to the eye.
