29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form or scrap lumber with protruding nails was not kept clear from work areas:   (a) South Side of House - On or about September 14, 2016 employees framing house were working next to the scrap lumber pile that has boards with nails protruding out of them facing up.

29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used.  Crossbraces were used as a means of access.   (a) Second Floor - On or about September 14, 2015 an employee gained access to the homemade wooden scaffolding by climbing up the side wood brace. Scaffolding walk plank is 6.5 feet from floor open rafters that is 10 feet from ground.  Employee was exposed to falling 16 feet to a lower level.  Employee was not provided a ladder or other safe point of access.

29 CFR 1926.304(d): Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe:  (a) South side of house - On or about September 14, 2016 employee was cutting a 2 x 4 wood board with a circular saw that had the lower blade guard wedge in the open position exposing the bottom half of the blade.  Christian Framing was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.304(d), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315307470, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 3, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at Lot 52 Hoy Farms Drive, Madison, MS 39110.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Except as provided in paragraphs (b)(2)(i) and (b)(2)(ii) of this section, each scaffold platform and/or walkway was not at least 18 inches (46 cm) wide:  (a) Second Floor - On or about September 14, 2016 an employee framing the house was working from the homemade wooden scaffolding with no guard rail system 16 feet 3 inches high. The wood walk plank is 5 1/2 inches wide not the 18 inches required.   Christian Framing was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.451(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315307470, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on May 3, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at Lot 52 Hoy Farms Drive, Madison, MS 39110.

(a) Second Floor - On or about September 14, 2016 employee framing house wall was working from home made wooden scaffolding that is 16 feet high with no guard rail system or personal fall arrest system.  Christian Framing was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315307470, citation number 1, item number 3b and was affirmed as a final order on May 3, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at Lot 52 Hoy Farms Drive, Madison, MS 39110.
