29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a) On or about 6 September 2016, employees were not trained how to report and recognize heat-related illness symptoms; how to prevent heat-related illnesses; first aid measures to relieve heat-related symptoms, and the effects of medications and existing medical conditions during hot weather.
