29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:    a) On or about September 28th, 2016, in the stockroom/Receiving area, the employer did not ensure that exit routes were unobstructed by carts, called U-Boats, full with boxes of merchandise after delivery.  The exit route and exit door was blocked with carts full of merchandise parked closely against each other.       Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158861, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/02/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 304 Briarwood Dr., Jackson MS.    Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1092862, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/28/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 203 Wedowee St., Bowdon GA. 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:    a) On or about September 28th, 2016, in the stockroom/receiving area, a fire extinguisher, resting on a wall component five feet high from the floor, was not readily accessible to employees because it was obstructed by carts, called U-boats, full of merchandise parked closely against each other, exposing employees to smoke inhalation in the case of a fire emergency.    Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1),  which was contained in OSHA inspection number1158861, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08-02-2016, with respect to a workplace located at 304 Briarwood Dr., Jackson MS. The working space about the electrical circuit breaker panel was used for storage of carts full of merchandise that blocked its access. 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Flexible cords and/ or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) through (F) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv):  a. On or about August 10, 2016, in the storage area in the back of the building, the employer failed to ensure that electrical extension cords were not run concealed and through gaps of the door frame, to prevent fire and employee exposure to electrical energy in the event of a fault.
