29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(i): Flexible cords and cables were not approved for conditions of use and location. a) Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center Monterey, Building 613, European and Latin American School Room 368, on or about July 8, 2016 and at times prior thereto, one Royal pencil sharpener and desk lamps were permanently plugged into a surge protector placed on the workroom floor. Occasionally, GBC shredder master was plugged into the surge protector. The protector was not designed to be used as a substitute for permanent wiring in this room. Employees were exposed electrical shock hazard.
