29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8):   The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s):  On or about 9/29/2016, the employer had not maintained safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals, such as, but not limited to, the Battery Electrolyte (30-40% Sulfuric Acid) and did not ensure they were readily accessible to employees engaged in work operations such as, but not limited to, changing out the forklift batteries, hooking batteries up for charging, and maintaining the batteries in the battery charging area. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with chemicals including but not limited to burns and skin irritation.
