Employees installing waterproofing at elevations of 10 feet above ground are not being protected from fall hazards with the use of fall protections systems. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on October 5, 2016, when two employees installing waterproofing and drip cap on the 5:12 pitch roof of a commercial structure located at 1001 Cypress Point Parkway, Palm Coast, FL, are exposed to the hazard of a 10 foot fall to the ground in that they do not have roof anchor points or lanyards affixed to their personal fall arrest gear.
