OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. a. On or about October 10, 2016 one employee was exposed to a crushing and caught in hazard because the employee was working among and within downed tree limbs and tree trunks, to trim branches from the trunks and the tree trunks were not suitably blocked or chocked with wood or other materials to prevent roll over. An employee died of injuries sustained when a 150 foot long tree trunk rolled over and crushed him between the asphalt street and the fallen tree.
