29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about October 13, 2016, an employee was not protected from a fall while walking/working on the roof of a commercial property, exposing the employee to a fall of over 25 feet. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: On or about October 13, 2016, an employee was exposed to an impalement hazard while working around exposed rebar that was not guarded or capped and the employer did not ensure that the rebar was guarded or capped. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.1052(b)(2): Foot traffic was not prohibited on skeleton metal stairs where permanent treads and/or landings were to be installed at a later date and the stairs were not fitted with secured temporary treads and/or landings long enough to cover the entire tread or landing area. On or about October 13, 2016, an employee was exposed to slip and fall hazards associated while using metal pan stairs to access the third floor deck and the employer did not ensure the pans were fitted with temporary treads. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
