29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At a new apartment site, employees performing framing work without fall protection were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 feet to the lower level and the ground below. Victor Garza was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1114718, Citation Number 1, Item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 11, 2016, with a final abatement date of January 15, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 27130 Hwy 290, Cypress, TX 77429.
