CPR, Inc. project site located on Northland Ave between North Ballard Rd and Hwy 441 in Appleton, WI: On October 18, 2016, prior to receiving medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, an employee was required to wear a respirator while abrasive blasting out the dust and gravel generated from the slots that were previously cut in the road. Note: The employer may discontinue an employee's medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator.

CPR, Inc. project site located on Northland Ave between North Ballard Rd and Hwy 441 in Appleton, WI: On October 18, 2016, an employee was required to wear a respirator prior to receiving training including but not limited to the following: 1. Why the respirator is necessary and how improper fit, usage, or maintenance can compromise the protective effect of the respirator. 2. What the limitations and capabilities of the respirator are. 3. How to use the respirator effectively in emergency situations, including situations in which the respirator malfunctions. 4. How to inspect, put on and remove, use, and check the seals of the respirator. 5. What the procedures are for maintenance and storage of the respirator. 6. How to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of respirators.
