29 CFR 1910.27(b)(2): Side rails which might be used as a climbing aid was not of such cross sections as to afford adequate gripping surface without sharp edge, splinters or burrs: In the medical facility, the employer did not have side rails installed on the fixed ladder being used by plant operations employees for entry into and exit under the hospital, exposing employees to fall hazards.
