29 CFR 1910.165(b)(2): The employee alarm could not be perceived above ambient noise or light levels by all employees in the affected portions of the workplace: (a) Memphis VAMC - On or about 10/19/16, Flashing lights, vibrating devices or other tactile devices were not used where hearing impaired employees worked exposing employees to emergency and fire hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
