29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards:Note:  Toeboards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard.  At the time of the inspection, Die-cast operators were working on work platforms greater than 4 feet above the lower level without guardrail system or fall protection. Five die-cast machines have work platforms that are not protected. On 10/19/2016 an employee was injured when he fell from a platform on #31 die-cast machine which was 59 inches above the concrete floor.   Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.  The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations
