Condition observed on or about 10/25/16.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- Block 258, Lot 6.05, North Wildwood NJ: Employees, not utilizing any fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof truss installation and other related activities while walking/working from a residential structure's third story outer wall top plates. Prior to and at the time of the inspection these employees had not received fall hazard recognition training from a competent and qualified person. Condition observed on or about 10/25/16. IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION, THIS EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
