29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: The first and second floor office areas - Employees were exposed to hazards in that magnetic locking devices are attached to each door that allows passage into different areas of the office, which require a badge to be scanned both to enter and exit these doors. The doors cannot be forced open without a badge. In the event of an emergency situation such as but not limited to employees trying to evacuate a smoke filled room may not be able to locate the electronic device and would be trapped at the exit door. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
