29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: On or about November 2, 2016, the employer did not ensure the exit route was free from obstruction leading out to the loading dock. The egress route was obstructed by materials such as but not limited to mail handling equipment, thereby exposing employees to a fire hazard. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1028467, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 31, 2015 with respect to a U.S. Postal Service workplace located at 17500 Oakwood Blvd., Allen Park, MI 48101.
